"We Do Not Tweet"
Yes, I'll be the first to admit that it's a lame slogan for my personal website. I originally had a better idea. But when I learned that "Winter Is Coming" was already taken, I had many more important things taking up my time, so I simply referenced an issue that was on my mind at the time. I do not think that Twitter is evil. As horribly destructive as it is, it was also inevitable. Someone would have invented it around the time that someone in fact did invent it. But that doesn't make it good. We all know by now what it looks like when a stupid person tweets. SAD!
But what about when smart people think they can tweet to any better effect? At some point I will distill into my own words what I think about this problem. But in the meantime, I'll just endorse this overly long blog post which goes into the problems that arise when people with something to say decide to tweet in a situation that really calls for them to speak.
